ABOUT US
Active since 1919, we have produced over 180 Eagle Scouts while allowing our young adults to learn both practical and mental life skills. We are proud of our commitment to this endeavor and our active adult volunteers who help make this happen. Our scouts are diverse in backgrounds, interests and personalities, but all are engaged in utilizing the scout program to help fulfill their ambitions and develop friendships while having lots of fun along the way.
In 2026, we expanded our program to become a Family Scout Troop, welcoming both boys and girls to learn and grow together in a single unit. This shift allows us to better serve the modern family by offering a unified program where brothers, sisters, and friends can experience the Scouting America journey side-by-side. By working together to solve problems and lead adventures, our scouts develop the respect and teamwork skills essential for success in today’s world.
Second Presbyterian Church in Bloomington, IL, is the troop's chartered organization. The church graciously allows us to meet weekly, store our gear, park our trailer, and use the facilities for special events—all free of charge. We deeply appreciate this incredible benefit.

SCOUT EXPECTATIONS
Scouting is a place where youth build character, develop leadership, form lasting friendships, and discover new adventures in a welcoming community for both boys and girls. Through fun, service, outdoor experiences, and teamwork, Scouts are encouraged to challenge themselves, become more independent, and grow into confident, responsible leaders. To help make that experience successful, we ask each Scout to:
Lead by example by maintaining a positive attitude, wearing the Scout uniform with pride, demonstrating patrol spirit, and encouraging the best in yourself and others.
Be an active member of the troop by working together with fellow Scouts and leaders to make the troop successful.
Commit your time and effort by attending troop meetings, campouts, and activities whenever possible, and preparing yourself to participate fully.
Embrace new challenges by learning new skills, working toward advancement, and always doing your best.
Live the Scout Oath and Scout Law in Scouting, at home, at school, and in your community.
